If you are in pain, there are several options for back pain treatment. Many of the solutions depend upon how you injured yourself or how much pain you are in. Seeing a physical therapist or a chiropractor is another option. A physical therapist will help with an exercise program that will help to relieve pain and strengthen your back. They may also provide treatments such as whirlpool baths, and massage to ease the pain. A chiropractor will adjust your back giving you immediate and long term back pain relief.
Another important treatment for your back is exercise. Adding in exercise will help with benefits that go beyond just helping your immediate back pain; it will also help strengthen your back and also help you if you need to lose a few pounds. Start off slow with a bit of aerobic exercise like walking or swimming, then slowly build up to longer duration and more intense exercises like running or biking.
Along with aerobic exercise it is important to add in stretching exercises, or even Pilates or yoga classes. Programs such as these will give your back better strength and flexibility, which will help ease your current pain and help to ward off any future back issues.
The last resort for any back problems would involve surgery, and only your doctor can tell you if you have reached this point and there is no other alternative.
These are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to possible back pain treatments. There are several more exercises and things you can do to help your back feel great once again.
