Low-Sodium Diet: Foods To Eat


With processed foods, convenience snacks and restaurant meals growing in popularity, many of us are consuming more sodium than ever.

And health authorities are cautioning the public to cut back on the salt.
The bad news about having too much sodium in your diet is that it’s a risk factor for high blood pressure, which in turn can lead to stroke and heart disease. So learn how to keep your salt intake in check with the following low-sodium tips.

When you buy your veggies, go all natural. Fresh is best, but frozen vegetables are equally wholesome and can be kept longer. Refrain from buying canned variety, which have added salty brine. Serve up your greens with a low-fat dip for a tasty and nutritious snack.
